iGESTEK develops a specific decorative process for carbon finish interior parts. These parts are made with thermoplastic composite sheets from the German manufacturer Bond Laminates (TEPEX® Dynalite 201-C200 / 45%).
 
Within the research project of Decoter (Supported by NETs program from the Basque Country Government)the processes prior to the application of the product on the substrate have been developed, primers and varnishes with different types of finishes. As well as their application methods for carbon finished parts appearance requirements, quality and technical specifications required from OEMs for this type of automotive components.
 
This has been applied to a short series of the new Leon Cup Racer steering wheel cover.
