iGESTEK develops a specific process to paint exterior parts made of thermoplastic composite sheets with fiberglass reinforcement from the German manufacturer Bond Laminates (TEPEX® dynalite 102-RG600/45%).
Within the research project of Decoter (Supported by NETs program from the Basque Country Government)the processes prior to the application of the product on the substrate have been developed, primers and varnishes with different types of finishes. As well as their application methods for body parts with the requirements of appearance, quality and technical specifications required from OEMs for this type of automotive components.
 
This has been applied to a short series of the new Leon Cup Racer rear fender.
